Food a Basic Element
Love it, Crave it, Want it… who doesn’t??
Very important element in our lives. Food is easily assessable and in great quantity.
Why is it when you look online under nutrition, healthy and natural. A lot of sites come up for our pets.
Does that mean our pets are eating healthier than thou.
That’s a good thing, but with all the stress and overweight people children and adults we really need to rethink our choices.
Fast food you may think hot dog, hamburger or quick sandwich, a muffin or a bagel in the morning.
What happen to fruit and vegetables. Raw fast and ready. They have large amounts of natural enzymes that help you function in a healthy normal way.
Fruit and cheese can be eaten any time of day.
Afraid of lactose, a really good aged cheese is virtually lactose free. (check out the book
Breaking the Vicious Cycle for a list of lactose free cheeses).
Salads should be eaten often daily if possible,
It’s the toppings that is said to be careful with.
I think a loaded salad would be better that a fried anything….. Right????????
I can’t say enough about the importance of fresh unadulterated food.
I want to inform everyone of what I am discovering about our trusted food chain. Where we get out food, processes, additives etc.
I had a bad experience once and I’ll call it my near death experience.
I can only relate it to digesting ingredients that became toxic in my system.
Artificial flavor, colors, preservatives
Food thickeners etc., artificial sweeteners and fat free additives even some herbal remedies (essential oils) all can have hidden toxic effects. Especially to someone who may be prone to autoimmune diseases, digestive disorders, IBS, IBD, arthritis, diabetes etc.
Look up side effects to food additives you will be surprised and shocked, read them carefully a lot of them can cause a laxative type effect…. Not good. Did you know aspartame has 92 side effects. A lot of these ingredients also are know to cause cancer. Why are they still on our grocery shelf. Why is the FDA approving them to be there as safe??
Are our grocers not aware of these additives???
I believe a lot of this can be innocent
Ignorance, maybe some laziness on our part. Yes we get busy we grab a quick processed bite whether it be frozen or fast type food.
I believe we need to rethink and recreate how we approach food.
Food is a necessary.
Food energizes us and helps our bodies function. The more natural the ingredients the better your body will function. Remember this works on a mental, physical and emotional level too.
I am discovering a world of fresh food, no pesticides in fruits and vegetables from local farmers. They are awesome hard working people looking out for our well being. These local farmers are aware of the effects of chemicals and how it effects our bodies and our environment.
Now about the cooking it really doesn’t take that much more time….and when you start creating healthy meals and snacks you find your money will go farther and food taste good and you can make your own little TV dinners with your creations that are delicious and that will last through the week. You will save money at lunch and be satisfied. Get creative make muffins with grated carrots, zucchini, summer squash. They are amazing.
Make a vegetable lasagna, or a fish casserole. Put on layers of your favorite vegetables, potatoes, rice, pasta, ground turkey, or lamb, etc.
One more thing to look up. If you think you have high acids in your body and you need to balance your ph. Look up alkaline rich foods on the internet you will find list of foods that can help balance this situation. And this is why many people suffer from autoimmune dysfunctions.
